Oceanside Task Force on Homelessness
District 69, Parksville / Qualicum Beach,
British Columbia
“Oceanside”
In School District 69 – known as the Oceanside Area – homelessness is defined as any family or individual without stable, permanent or appropriate housing, nor the immediate prospect, means or ability to acquire it.
Services for people experiencing homelessness in the region are provided by the social service organizations, churches, local governments and the health authority that work together as the Oceanside Task Force on Homelessness (OTFH), along with other local services, individuals and stakeholders.
These services came together in 2010 to form the Task Force to create a community without homelessness and improve living conditions for people at-risk of homelessness. Visit the About page to read more on the Oceanside Task Force on Homelessness.
